Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Historic Women's March, "we need to strengthen the fight against gender-based violence," Kuhlekonke Khoza told Sputnik Africa.
Education now is not a privilege, it "is a spear for us to change the material conditions of our societies," the activist added.
"World Bank has estimated that countries lose over 160 trillion US dollars in human capital wealth because of gender inequality," Mmapaseka Steve Letsike, Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, noted in a speech dedicated to the event.

"Women nowadays must be at a place where they are able to get things on their own, not to depend on men," Nonhlanhla Faith Mazibuko, member of the Executive Council for Health and Wellness, told Sputnik Africa.
