Ethiopia Plans to Plant Eight Million Trees in Zimbabwe

Under the Green Legacy Initiative Ethiopia is working toward paving a path for a climate-resilient and green Zimbabwe, Ambassador Rashid Mohammed Abdulwahid said, according to Zimbabwean state media.

Key points of the initiative:

🟠 Government and the private sector will work together;

🟠 At least four million Zimbabwean primary and secondary school pupils can actively participate in the process.

Ethiopia’s Pan-African Green Legacy Initiative, launched in 2019 under the slogan “One for All, All for One,” has led to the planting of more than 47 billion trees over the past five years.
