'The Charter is Living Promise' — Liberia Urges Unity, Equality & Collective Responsibility

The "timely" discussion at a China-convened UN debate was praised by Liberia's Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti, who also reaffirmed that no nation should dominate others through unilateral power.

Warning that the UN Charter is "under strain" from division and selective rule application, she criticized arbitrary multilateralism and called for equal benefits for all nations.

Drawing from Liberia's civil war experience, collective action on poverty, inequality and resource mismanagement is necessary, she added.
