Ethiopia Requests China to Support Its Efforts in Expanding Nuclear & Radiation Medicine: Health Minister
Ethiopia plans to establish five centers for radiation medicine and requested that Black Lion and St. Paul's Hospitals be included in the partnership to receive support in professional capacity building and medical equipment, Mekdes Daba said.
The use of atomic technology in the health sector was discussed during a bilateral meeting with the deputy chief of the China Atomic Energy Authority, Liu Jing, according to the Ethiopian Health Ministry.
China has expressed a desire to support investments in the establishment of nuclear and radiation medicine centers in Ethiopia, despite merely participating in medical projects, Liu Jing noted.
