Ethiopia's Jugol World Heritage Wall Reconstruction Increases Tourist Flow

Over 22 km of corridor development has been completed within Harar's ancient walls, along with general redevelopment and the creation of green spaces around the 3.4 km-long Jugol Wall, the Harari Regional State Culture, Heritage, and Tourism Bureau announced.

"The work carried out using local resources and knowledge has enhanced the beauty of the heritage’s character and historical significance," the head of the bureau Amir Ramadan said.

These measures also have helped to attract a large number of domestic and foreign visitors and created job opportunities for more than 7,000 citizens.
