'Inclusive & Expansive Agenda Items' of Global South 'Have Potential to Shape Policy,' SA Official Says
The Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) high-level roundtable reflecting on South Africa’s G20 presidency looks at what "the outcomes, initiatives and agreements it [SA] made last year actually mean in the greater international context," Nerissa Muthayan, a global economic governance researcher, told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the event.
The roundtable allows discussion of "opportunities for implementation" in "different multilateral fora and within countries themselves," Sandy Africa, director of research at MISTRA, added, speaking to Sputnik Africa.
"Private sector and government cooperation" needs to ensure "these commitments are implementable," Khutso Makua, a researcher at MISTRA, told Sputnik Africa.
