Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Beijing on an official visit, reports a Sputnik correspondent.The trip coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between Russia and China.The main working program of the visit is scheduled for Wednesday, beginning with a formal welcome ceremony for the Russian delegation at Tiananmen Square in central Beijing. Following this, talks between President Putin and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping will take place at the Great Hall of the People.Upon conclusion of the talks, the parties will sign joint documents, and the leaders will issue statements to the media. Later that day, Putin and Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony of the reciprocal Years of Russian-Chinese Cooperation in Education.The Russian President will also hold a separate meeting with Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and will meet with Chinese engineer Peng Pai, who, as a child, greeted the Russian President during his first visit to the PRC in 2000.On Wednesday evening, a formal reception will be held on behalf of Xi Jinping, and the concluding event of the working program will be a conversation between Putin and the President of the People's Republic of China over tea.
