Russia & Zimbabwe Sign Three Justice Treaties to Strengthen Fight Against Crime
The official online signing ceremony marked a new stage in bilateral legal cooperation between the countries, the Russian Justice Ministry reported.
The two sides signed three international treaties concerning:
🟠transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment to serve their sentences;
🟠mutual legal assistance in criminal matters;
🟠mutual protection of citizens from abuses in the field of international justice.
The signed documents will also establish the basis for cooperation between the judicial and law enforcement authorities of Russia and Zimbabwe and allow convicted persons to serve their sentences in their country of citizenship, the ministry noted.
