Russia to Assist Mali in Developing Transport Infrastructure: Malian Transport Ministry
Russia and Mali have signed three memoranda of understanding in transport sector on the sidelines of the second intergovernmental commission held in Russia's Kazan, Transport Minister Dembele Madina Sissoko told a local broadcaster.
These agreements include:
1⃣ A partnership with the Russian Ministry of Transport to improve Mali’s railway infrastructure;
2⃣ Collaboration with Russian automaker Kamaz to explore the launch of vehicle production in Mali;
3⃣ Enhanced cooperation with Russia’s Tatarstan region in the petroleum and agricultural sectors.
These memoranda serve as a clear roadmap that will define all stages — from studies and evaluation to full implementation, Minister of Economy and Finance, Alousséni Sanou, noted.
