'Reviving, Anchoring & Transmitting Revolutionary Spirit & Values' to Youth of AES: Ouagadougou Takes Relay
The conference opened in the Burkinabe capital with support from Foreign Minister Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré. It unites two generations of revolutionaries: those who stood with Thomas Sankara in the 1980s and those driving Captain Ibrahim Traoré's Popular Progressive Revolution today.
The goal is to engage in dialogue, "share their experiences, and draw lessons from failures and successes," Luc Damiba, president of the organizing committee, told Sputnik Africa.
Representatives of the AES are attending the event, along with delegations from other invited countries, including Iran, Russia, Venezuela, China, Ghana, Nicaragua, and Cuba.
"We share the same roots and the same aspirations. As the Islamic Republic of Iran, we have extensive experience in pursuing the revolutionary path and in transmitting revolutionary values to the younger generation," Iran's Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Mojtaba Faghihi, noted.
