Ethiopian PM Inaugurates Gelan Gurra Industrial Park in Addis Ababa
The park will play "a major role in strengthening Ethiopian producers' capacity, boosting their productivity and competitiveness, thereby creating a great opportunity for the city, the country, and the region," Abiy Ahmed said on his social media.
"Out of the park's total size of 93.9 hectares, the first phase has been constructed on 43 hectares of land and inaugurated today. Beyond creating a highly conducive business environment for small and medium enterprises, it opens the doors of employment for thousands of our youth," the prime minister noted.
The first phase of the industrial park, ensuring job opportunities for around 20,000 skilled professionals, features:
🟠68 textile and garment manufacturing facilities;
🟠248 production and raw material warehouses;
🟠CCTV cameras, modern elevators, and safety systems.
