Swahili Meets Russian: New Language Deal Bridges Two Nations

The two nations have signed an agreement to expand Swahili teaching in Russia and Russian language education in Tanzania, a Sputnik Africa correspondent reported.

The deal was sealed on Saturday by Consolata Mushi, head of Tanzania's National Council for Swahili, and Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, during a session of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
