Russia’s Il-114‑300 Passenger Jet Successfully Completes Arctic Flight Tests The aircraft has passed additional certification tests in the Arctic, flying to within 100 km of the North Pole, announced the United Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of the Russian technology giant Rostec. The tests, conducted over the Novaya Zemlya and Franz Josef Land archipelagos, evaluated the aircraft’s performance in Arctic conditions, including its inertial navigation system.
