'Russia's Principle of Giving Without Expectation is Inimical to West's Neocolonialism': Nigerian Expert
The relationship between African countries and the Soviet Union, and now Russia, have always been cordial since the period of decolonization, Dr. Felix Oludare Ajiola, lecturer from the University of Lagos, noted.
After the end of the Cold War, the West continues to antagonize all Russian initiatives, impeding their realization and implementation, he told Sputnik Africa.
"The West has boldly refused several efforts toward socialist or welfare-inclined interventions and programs in Africa for ideological and imperialistic imperatives," the speaker emphasized.
Commenting on the return of looted historic artifacts to African countries, Dr. Ajiola stressed that repatriating them without reasonable compensation is " nothing but a frivolous act or an act of hypocrisy."
