Russian Titanium Tubes for Egypt's First Nuclear Plant to Be Delivered by End of June: Company
The titanium products will be used in the integrated equipment of Unit 4 at the El‑Dabaa plant, Africa’s largest atomic project in four decades, a representative of Russia's VSMPO‑AVISMA, the world's largest titanium producer, told Sputnik.
The company launched serial production of welded pure titanium pipes in March, meeting global standards for heat‑exchange equipment that comes into contact with seawater, the official noted.
Once all four units are operational, the 4.8 GW plant will supply about 10% of Egypt’s electricity and cut CO₂ emissions by 14 million tonnes annually. It is set to begin operation in 2028.
