Libyan National Army Boosts Border Combat Readiness Amid Rising Terrorism in Sahel Region
Sahel and Sahara instability, particularly terrorist attacks in Mali, directly impacts Libya, LNA Secretary General Khairi Al-Tamimi told Sputnik.
▫ The LNA is responding with local deployments, heightened readiness, and stronger surveillance while coordinating closely with neighboring African states and preparing to counter any threat, he said.
"Thousands of kilometers connect us with African countries. Despite these challenges, coordination continues, as Libya's border security is considered a crucial part of the security of the entire region, from the borders to the Mediterranean and all the way to Europe," Al-Tamimi added.
