Ghana Rescues 28 Human Trafficking Victims From Côte d'Ivoire: MFA

On Sunday, the predominantly young Ghanaians were rescued and repatriated to Ghana, where they are "currently assisting with further investigations," according to the ministry's official statement.

The government commended Ivorian authorities for effective collaboration and shared intelligence and assured "that all efforts are being deployed to dismantle these criminal networks."

The ministry urged "the public to be conscious of the dangers associated with engaging unlicensed recruitment agencies which promise travel and job opportunities."
