Russia to Build Its 1st Private Spaceport for Ultra-Light Rockets in 2026
Primorsky cosmodrome by Russia’s Space Energy is designed for ultralight and light rockets, including the company’s own Orbita launcher (250 kg to low Earth orbit / 150 kg to sun-synchronous orbit).
🟠The site was chosen for ideal ballistic conditions and safe sea landing zones.
🟠 The first launch was originally planned for 2027 — but could happen as early as 2026 if the project stays on schedule.
🟠The project might serve commercial, scientific, and technological missions for other customers - a major milestone for private-sector participation in Russia’s space industry.
