'We Must Combine Our Efforts': Nigerien Citizen Weighs In on Energy Partnership With Chad
Having the same energy and security challenges, Niger and Chad, which share a common border of more than 1,000 kilometers, discussed possible oil-transporting partnerships during a recent meeting between their energy ministers.
Commenting on this, Nigerien national Illiassou Boubacar told Sputnik Africa that uniting efforts between the two neighbors in the mining sector is important.
In this context, a project to transport Nigerien oil via a Chadian pipeline could resurface, Boubacar suggested.
