'Victory Day & Africa's Anti-Colonial Struggle Exposed End of European Supremacy': Ethiopian Expert

The end of World War II laid the foundation for accelerating the African freedom struggle, Dr. Asrat Ermolo, a history lecturer and researcher at Wachemo University, told Sputnik Africa.

"Africans witnessed these people fighting each other using another power. This gave Africans a great lesson. There is no superior race or permanent system. This was a great lesson for Africans," he noted.

Ethiopia’s steadfast resistance against fascism served as a source of hope for Africans in their struggle for freedom, and today the continent must stand together to assert its economic sovereignty, Dr. Asrat emphasized.

"Africans must interpret Victory Day from their own perspective. If they strengthen their unity and struggle with determination, they can defeat the modern pressure coming today in economic and political spheres," the speaker stressed.
