BurundiPay to Promote Financial Integration & Facilitate Payments: Economist
The Central Bank of Burundi (BRB) has just launched its new system, and this is only the beginning, Libère Nduwimana, Director of Payment Systems at the BRB, told Sputnik Africa.
According to him, the next step will be to integrate BurundiPay with regional payment networks used by the East African Community and COMESA.
"This will facilitate the integration of this system with other regional or international systems. This will also make life easier for the Burundian population in the short and medium term, allowing them to carry out transactions without any problems."
