The continent has no reason to be poor, Gayton McKenzie, South Africa's Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture, told Sputnik Africa.
"Africa is endowed and blessed with minerals [...] Africa has just been badly and poorly managed, but that is changing now."
He pointed to the Saudi‑backed LIV Golf tour coming to Africa for the first time, Botswana hosting the World Relay, and African artists like Black Coffee and Wizkid gaining global recognition.
