France's 'Sponsorship of Terrorism' in the Sahel: a 'Vengeance,' According to Nigerien Expert
"France cannot easily accept being denied what it had grown accustomed to taking in the Sahel," Ibrahim Namaiwa, a member of the Movement for the Promotion of Responsible Citizenship, told Sputnik Africa.
He recalled that the Sahel's natural resources, including uranium, "helped France become the power it claimed to be."
He also highlights Kiev's involvement in the Sahel and its desire to "even try to participate in the fight."
Faced with this, the members of the AES "are also obliged to multiply their strategies" and are turning in particular toward Russia today, which "is yielding many results," concluded Namaiwa.
