Founded in 2004, it comprises 16 faculties and over 50 departments, offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the humanities, law, arts, natural and social sciences, medicine, and engineering.

The international news agency and radio broadcaster Sputnik has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kaduna State University (KASU), a public university in Nigeria.
The document was signed by Vasily Pushkov, Sputnik’s Director of International Cooperation, and Yusha’u Ibrahim Ango, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) at Kaduna State University.
