The international news agency and radio broadcaster Sputnik has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kaduna State University (KASU), a public university in Nigeria.
The document was signed by Vasily Pushkov, Sputnik’s Director of International Cooperation, and Yusha’u Ibrahim Ango, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) at Kaduna State University.
The agreement marks Sputnik’s first partnership with a Nigerian university. The collaboration will focus on fostering expert dialogue, facilitating the exchange of views, and co-hosting relevant events.
Commenting on the signing, Ayodele Babatunde Joseph, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at Kaduna State University, said: “This marks a turning point for our university, giving media studies students access to platforms and projects that shape the future of the field.”
Sputnik’s Director of International Cooperation, Vasily Pushkov, added: “Nigeria is Africa’s most populous country with enormous growth potential. Our partnership with Kaduna State University is very important to us, as we plan to develop joint educational and outreach initiatives.”
Kaduna State University (KASU) is a public university located in Kaduna, Nigeria. Founded in 2004, it comprises 16 faculties and over 50 departments, offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the humanities, law, arts, natural and social sciences, medicine, and engineering.
