Ethiopia Shows Four Years of 'Measurable Progress': PM

"Made in Ethiopia" Expo "unites hundreds of dynamic enterprises and innovative startups," showing the tangible realization of the country's national vision, said Abiy Ahmed Ali, launching the event.
Key achievements highlighted by the PM:
Production capacity utilization soared from 47% to 67%, with manufacturing growth rising from 4.8% to 10.7%;
Over 2,800 domestic and foreign direct investments have been attracted, creating 1.4 million jobs;
Over $4.85 billion was saved through import substitution in the first nine months of this fiscal year alone;
Manufacturing input supply increased from 9 million to over 15 million tonnes annually;
Over 3.4 GW of electricity was supplied to new industrial investments;
Small and medium enterprise financing surged from $51.8 million to over $319 million, with over $1.67 billion for large industries;
Over $2.28 billion in foreign currency was allocated to the sector.
"By working together and sustaining this powerful momentum, we will build a resilient, industrialized, and self-reliant Ethiopia for generations to come," he added.
