Senegalese President Calls for Coordinated Response to Terrorism in West Africa: Media
Bassirou Diomaye Faye highlighted the historic ties between Senegal and Mali, stressing that Mali's security directly impacts Senegal. "They are our brothers," he told media.
He urged stronger cooperation with Bamako, including intelligence sharing and joint patrols.
Within ECOWAS, the president proposed revitalizing collective mechanisms, such as activating the standby regional force.
Faye also mentioned solidarity economic measures, including support via Dakar port for Mali.
