South Africa Sends First Shipment Under Expanded Zero-Tariff Agreement With China

24 tonnes of South African apples were cleared by customs officers and are bound for supermarkets and wholesale markets across China, according to media reports.

The tariff rate for these South African fruits plunged from 10 percent to zero, strengthening their price competitiveness in the Chinese market.
