Tanzania Invests Over $514.4 Million in Primary Healthcare Over Four Years: Official
🩺 The sum has been allocated to strengthen healthcare services since 2022, expanding infrastructure across the country, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Health Tumaini Nagu announced during National Health Week events in Kibiti district.
The investment has funded the following projects:
🟠The construction of 129 district council hospitals;
🟠The rehabilitation of 48 existing hospitals;
🟠The upgrading of 367 health centers to provide emergency obstetric and newborn care.
🟠The installation of water, sanitation, and hygiene services in 3,457 primary healthcare facilities.
