Road to Yalta Festival: Tunisian Singer Advocates for Memory of Soviet Heroism
The festival is a "very special" event, Tunisian singer Emira Dakhlia told Sputnik.
Last year, Emira Dakhlia performed the "Ballad of a Soldier" — the song that "highlights the heroism of Soviet soldiers," she noted.
"It is necessary, through music, to keep it in memory and always think about the heroism of the soldiers, of the people, of humans, for humanity, for peace," Dakhlia stressed.
This year, the concert, held in Moscow, brought together singers from 15 countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, and Tunisia, who presented interpretations of Soviet songs about the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
