Rwanda Gives Public Transport Green Light to Transform City Commutes: Media

The country's capital Kigali has launched a system of dedicated bus lanes on major city's roads to enhance public transport, local media reported.

The system became fully operational on April 24, making buses faster and more reliable during peak hours and facilitating traffic across the city, reports said.

Kigali's residents may have already seen certain improvements in public transport:

🟠Buses now move more smoothly and predictably.

🟠Transport system is becoming modern, well-organized, and people-centered.

Moreover, buses will depart every five minutes from 6 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 9 pm and every 15 minutes in off-peak periods, according to media.
