Seychelles leads Africa with a prosperity score of 98.09, according to the HelloSafe Prosperity Index 2026.
Top 5 African nations:
1⃣ Seychelles: 98.09
2⃣ Mauritius: 77.09
3⃣ Algeria: 54.24
4⃣ Gabon: 52.45
5⃣ Egypt: 52.17
Each country's score is based on five key metrics: GDP per capita (PPP), gross national income (GNI), human development index (HDI), income equality, and relative poverty rates.
Seychelles boasts Africa's highest GDP per capita ($42,110 PPP) and best HDI. Mauritius ranks second on strong GNI, while Algeria leads in income equality.
