Plane Crash in South Sudan Leaves Over Dozen People Dead

The aircraft, a Cessna 208 Caravan operated by CityLink Aviation, went down approximately 20 kilometers southwest of Juba.

Casualties: All 14 individuals—13 passengers and 1 pilot—were confirmed dead.

Victims: The manifest included 12 South Sudanese nationals and two Kenyan nationals.

Route: The flight had departed from Yei in Central Equatoria State at approximately 9:15 am local time and was en route to Juba International Airport.

Communication Loss: Air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft roughly 30 minutes into the flight.
