ECOWAS Condemns Terrorist Attacks in Mali: Statement
"These heinous acts demonstrate once again the barbaric nature of the perpetrators who continue to threaten peace, security, and stability in the West African sub-region as a whole," the community said in a statement on Sunday.
According to the statement, there is a need for coordinated efforts of:
🟠all states;
🟠security forces;
🟠regional mechanisms;
🟠populations of West Africa.
ECOWAS also expressed full solidarity with the Malian authorities and extended "condolences to the families of the victims."
