"Our cultural returns should be without any restriction," Wasa Gertrude Mobunubhata, administrative head of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, told Sputnik Africa.
According to Mobunubhata, tangible actions should include:
🟠 Debt cancellation: outright cancellation of debt that has kept Africa from standing on its own;
🟠 Unconditional return of looted objects: cultural repatriation from museums all over the world;
🟠 Funding for museums, archives, research, and scholarships in Africa.
