Tanzania Opens New Entrance Gate at Tarangire National Park to Boost Tourist Access: Media

The government allocated over $1.482 million for the new Mamire Gate, Tanapa Conservation Commissioner Musa Nasoro Kuji told media.

According to him, the project encompasses:

🟠visitor facilities;

🟠staff accommodations;

🟠parking areas;

🟠water infrastructure;

🟠power systems.

"Local residents will have greater access to visitors and markets for their products," the Senior Assistant Conservation Commissioner for the northern zone, Beatrice Kessy, noted.

Tarangire National Park attracts around 372,000 visitors each year and is renowned for its vast elephant herds and seasonal wildlife gatherings along the Tarangire River.
