Zambia Commissions 50‑Megawatt Mansa Photovoltaic Solar Plant

The new project in Luapula is part of the government’s renewable energy pipeline aimed at sustainably closing the country’s electricity gap and enhancing energy security, President Hakainde Hichilema noted on the occasion.

“This project is not by luck. Development comes from clear vision, good planning, and implementation,” he said.

According to him, the plant will help:

🟠create jobs for local people;

🟠support key economic activities such as manganese mining.
