China Appreciates African Countries' Commitment to One-China Principle: MFA
The country commended some African countries for denying overflight to Taiwan's President Lai Ching-te in accordance with the one-China principle, "which is fully consistent with international law and basic norms governing international relations," Guo Jiakun, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, said.
"The one-China principle is where the arc of history bends and public opinion trends, and to uphold it is the right thing to do. No one can ever stop the eventual reunification of China."
Taiwan's president has canceled his trip to Eswatini after Seychelles, Mauritius, and Madagascar withdrew the permission for his aircraft, according to media reports.
