Sudan Army Retakes Strategic Blue Nile Town of Mqja, Securing Key Route to Ethiopian Border: SAF Spox

The recapture of Moqja, which lies near the Ethiopian border, comes after heavy clashes with the RSF and the SPLM-N (northern sector) rebels, according to an official army statement.

The town hosts critical supply routes between Blue Nile State and the eastern frontier, making it a key military asset in ongoing operations.

The 4th Infantry Division inflicted heavy losses on the two militias in vehicles and personnel, and military sources say the next target is Yabous, a historic rebel stronghold on the Ethiopian frontier.
