'Increasing AES Force to 15,000 Troops Changes Equation on Several Levels': Political Analyst

The AES is giving itself the means to "shift from a logic of reaction to a logic of initiative, which is truly commendable," Mourtala Kimba told Sputnik Africa.

"We are moving from a force that was mainly expeditionary and limited to the three borders area, to a capacity to hold multiple fronts simultaneously," he noted.
