Nigerian Police Rescues All Abducted Bus Passengers in Benue State: Statement
All 18 passengers kidnapped from a Benue Links bus last Wednesday in Outkpo have been saved during coordinated operations led by police and other security agencies, Benue State Police Command stated.
The victims are currently receiving medical treatment and are in stable condition.
Seven suspects have been arrested, including three confirmed gang members, while investigations continue to identify others involved, the police noted.
Nigerian police have ordered intensified operations in the Otukpo area to eliminate remaining criminal groups. Authorities credited inter-agency cooperation and pledged continued efforts to ensure security, urging the public to report suspicious activity, the statement emphasized.
