Tanzania Breaks Tourism Record, Sets Sights on 8 Million Visitors by 2030

The East African country welcomed 5.9 million tourists in December 2025, surpassing its target of 5 million and marking an all-time high.

The country now aims to raise tourism's share of the economy from 17% to 20% by 2030. Authorities plan to continue strengthening marketing efforts for both domestic and international travelers.
