Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Celebrates Liturgy For First Time in Senegal
Patriarchal Exarch for Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, arrived in Dakar, accompanied by Priest Georgy Maximov, Head Missioner of the Exarchate.
Dmitry Kurakov, Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Senegal and Gambia (concurrently), along with members of the diplomatic mission and Russian compatriots residing in the country, attended the service.
Following the liturgy, the bishop congratulated the worshippers on the feast and delivered an archpastoral sermon. All participants in the service were presented with decorative Easter eggs.
The exarch also met with Kurakov to discuss the Russian Orthodox Church's presence in Senegal.
