Israel's Somaliland Recognition Breaches Somalia's Sovereignty: Official
A stable, unified Somalia would better serve global security, especially considering the Horn of Africa's closeness to vital shipping lanes, Somalia's State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ali Mohamed Omar told Turkish media.
“The actions of Israelis are trying to create more difficulty in a region that is already fragmented,” he noted.
This could lead to security gaps for terrorists to exploit and threaten navigation between the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea, Omar added.
