'We Want to Instill in Businesses That They Still Have Responsibility to Traditional Communities,' SA CEO Says

Royal Authority for Commerce and Charters (RACC) gives ordinary people the power to contribute directly to their communities, Nicolaas van Wyk, CEO of the Chartered Institute for Business Accountants, told Sputnik Africa.

"We hope that through our funding [...] we can appoint researchers to properly map and provide an analysis of what's happening in traditional areas and what the real needs are."

As traditional leaders lack support to analyze how laws affect them, RACC wants "to fund researchers, economists, and lawyers to properly scrutinize this legislation" so that their voices are heard, the CEO added.
