SA's RACC Platform 'Makes Traditional Leadership & Kings Attractive for People to Fund,' CEO Says
Connecting traditional leadership with modern business practices, the funding platform Royal Authority for Commerce and Charters (RACC) serves as a conduit between the public, business, and rural communities, Nicolaas van Wyk, CEO of the Chartered Institute for Business Accountants, told Sputnik Africa.
"We're connecting professional accountants with the Kings so that we can review their projects and make sure they're fundable," he added.
According to the CEO, key roles of RACC for Africa:
🟠Provides a framework for transparent financial management;
🟠Funds research into legislation affecting traditional areas;
🟠Assists with land claims that should be transferred to traditional leaders.
"RACC itself isn't a representative entity; it doesn't speak on behalf of communities. It is a platform, a national platform. Hopefully, Africa-wide soon," he emphasized.
