Ethiopia is Role Model in Ensuring Women's Empowerment: State Minister
Ethiopia has undergone many fundamental changes to advance women’s equality across all frameworks, State Minister of Women and Social Affairs Hikima Keiredin said on the margins of the COMESA — Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa — Women and Gender Equality Technical Committee meeting in Addis Ababa.
The country's efforts in empowering women set an example for other countries, according to the COMESA Secretariat.
The meeting focused on three key messages:
🟠unlocking opportunities for women in trade and industry;
🟠scaling women-led businesses;
🟠strengthening accountability across member states.
