African Leaders & Continental Organizations Congratulate Djibouti's President on Re-Election

Somalia's PM Hamza Abdi Barre suggested that Guelleh will sustain peace, stability, and prosperity of the Djiboutian people, commending them for peaceful electoral process.

AU Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf praised Djibouti's significant contribution to promoting regional peace, stability, security, and cooperation in the Horn of Africa.

IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu affirmed Djibouti's commitment to regional dialogue and collective action, emphasizing the nation's dedication to peace, stability, and development.

◀ The presidential elections in Djibouti were held on Friday. Incumbent President Ismail Omar Guelleh has been re-elected for a sixth term, receiving 97.8% of the vote.
