Public Health Security: Russia Trains Burkinabè Specialists on Mobile Lab

‍ A team from the Russian sanitary agency Rospotrebnadzor provided training to 30 Burkinabè health professionals on the use of a mobile laboratory. The closing ceremony for this session was held in Ouagadougou, according to Sputnik Africa’s correspondent.

The state-of-the-art equipment — previously supplied by Russia — enables real-time PCR testing, ELISA analyses, and immunochromatographic tests. It offers a daily analysis capacity of more than 300 samples for PCR and 500 for ELISA.

“This tool now positions Burkina Faso among the African countries with advanced capabilities for rapid field diagnosis, in the service of national and regional health security,” declared Burkina Faso’s Minister of Health, Robert Kargougou.
