Africa’s Focus in Space Should Be High-Res Imagery, SAR & Going to Moon: SA National Space Agency CEO
"There will be an opportunity for us to participate and contribute quite significantly [in] an ultimate goal of habitating the Moon, and then beyond the Moon to Mars," Humbulani Mudau told Sputnik Africa.
According to the CEO, Africans need to focus on:
🟠Access to very high-resolution satellite imagery, moving beyond the currently available low-to-medium resolution one;
🟠Synthetic aperture radar (SAR)—a type of active data collection that uses radar pulses to produce high-res images even through clouds and in total darkness—for extreme weather applications.
