'BRICS Has Always Been Voice of Global South in Multilateralism': CEO of SA BRICS Youth Association
"BRICS plays a very critical role in ensuring that we solve social and economic problems and challenges of the Global South," Raymond Matlala told Sputnik Africa on the sidelines of the BRICS+ Youth Innovation Summit.
According to him, topical issues for the BRICS Innovation Summit include:
Sustainable development and green innovation;
AI and digitization for enhancing efficiency in health and education, and protecting data rights;
Agri-innovation for solving global hunger.
"When BRICS develops a system, it's not just for BRICS, it is developed for the Global South. Some of the colleagues call it the Global Majority," he added.
